Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to some of the questions you may have regarding The House of the Twin Tailed Lion here. We’ve addressed some of the most common ones below, but if something isn’t clear feel free to contact us. We’ll be happy to assist you in any way possible.

How do I join?

Please either use one of the many contact forms provided on this website, or send us an email, or call us.

You are welcome to just turn up to one of our training sessions, but we may be at an event!

Do I need any equipment?

Not to start with. All of our new and prospective members may borrow a basic helmet, bracers, and gloves from us for each training session, until you feel that you would like to take the leap and buy your own equipment. Due to some rather obscure authenticity rules, you are greatly encouraged to ask one of our members for help with this, rather than jump ahead and risk disappointment.

What is the minimum age?

We are currently accepting all ages, but prefer over 16’s due to field regulations. If your child is under 16, please be aware that they may not be able to partake in the battles at events. We also encourage a parent to be present at training.

Do I have to attend events?

No, but you are heavily encouraged to. Events are how we are funded, and often the more people turn up, the more the group gets paid.

Plus, events are prime bonding time, and a fabulous opportunity to make lifelong friends and memories. There is something about sitting round the campfire with your mates that just heals the soul.

Are there any fees involved?

In the first few sessions, we ask for £5 each time. If you decide to join (a brilliant notion), insurance is £25-£40 for the year (paid in September) plus £5 per month to pay for our training grounds.

Three meals are included per day at events, so for this we ask for an amount (to be specified by us prior to the event in question – always less than £10pp). We can cater for allergies, but please tell us beforehand!
